My 5-team teaser of the week

I have been having a lot of success with 5-team 7.5 point teasers, which pay 3:1. Here is my pick of the week:

ppeter, I can't believe I am saying this for a Vikings game, but I am concerned about the Minneapolis/Detroit OVER. Neither of these teams' offenses are playing with any consistency right now. Sure, Minny can put up 20 points in the first half last week against Seattle.....but then they manage ONE FIELD GOAL the entire 2nd half!!!!! And that was at HOME! 2 weeks ago they managed 14 points at Chicago!! FOURTEEN POINTS!!!!!

I'm not saying that Detriot's defense is as good as Chicago's, but I am saying that I wouldn't count on either offense scoring in this one. Minny definitely has the offenseive horses, but they also have the propensity to wilt late in the season. (Remember last year?)

IMO, the better play is to tease the UNDER up to 56. If it makes you feel any better, I am looking at playing the under 48.5 as a straight-up, single play.

I hear ya---I have been winning teasing the Vikes over indoors---they always seem to fall a little short going over the regular line, but teasers have not been a problem. Detroit has been scoring now that their RB Jones and WR Williams have been healthy. I definitely prefer going over 41 than under 56, this could easily turn into a 28-31 type of game if Culpepper gets his act together. GL to you as well, hopefully it lands around 44 so we both win.

44 would be fine with me, ppeter! In their last 4 games, Minny has been under the total 4 times and Lions have been under 3 (Arizona game went over low total of 37 by ONE POINT!). If you have already placed the bet, I'll quit harassing you about it.....but if you are still considering teasing the OVER, please reconsider, my friend! I know overs are more fun, but these 2 offenses are struggling. GL

Almost a heart attack moment until the Indy player stepped out of bounds at the 5 yd line during the INt return.

BTW what do you think about UAB/HAwaii game? Over the total?

Yep, I was going nuts when Boler threw that stupid pick. Got a good break, for sure when Indy db steped on the sideline. Thank god for instant replay.


I will be at the UH game. I actually like UAB and yes, the over. The side is the stronger pick.

Hawaii did their "team of destiny" thing. Their goal was to prove their naysayer fans wrong and make the bowl when nobody thought they were any good after the two road blowouts against Boise and Fresno. They are not as focused on winning the bowl as UAB. They think they can win just by showing up and feeding off the crowd (they thought the same thing against Tulane 2 years ago and Houston last year and lost ATS both games). UAB is WAAAY more focused on winning this game. Also, don't be suprised if some UH players don't make the bowl due to academics. This always happens and June Jones tries to hide it until the last minute.

Should be a high scoring shootout, like all UH games. Total is really high though, no value and the BM set this line right.

It is raining. It has been raining here for 3 days.


Believe me, that means NOTHING at Aloha Stadium. Field turf. 80 degrees. There has been no wind here (it is super muggy). Players could not care less if it rains.

The Mich St. game was the WORST weather I have ever seen at at Hawaii game. It was cold by Hawaii standards (sixtys) and the wind was howling, swirling 30 mph +, and rain was intermittent. There were at least a dozen passes that were knocked down by the wind, but the game STILL WENT OVER.

Adding Clev ML for $100 to win $327 (Pinny) and Clev +9.5 $110 to win $100 (Pinny) as small hedges since both remaining open teasers feature Dolphins pk.

Dolphins should bring home the winner, esp. if Holcomb is out again, but makes sense to hedge a little in this spot.

The hedge evened out, as the spread win on Clev covered the ML loss.


3-0 sweep on the teasers I posted, winning two 4-teamers and one 2-teamer, and a 5-teamer last week.
